Project title:

HEMPLAB Ltd. is implementing a project titled „Implementation of R&D results through the launch of innovative CAPMIX supplementation platform production”. For the implementation of this project, the company received a grant from the European Union under the European Funds for Lubelskie 2021-2027 Program.

Tasks carried out within the project:

Project implementation includes one key component - the purchase, installation and commissioning of fixed assets necessary for the implementation of CAP-MIX product and process innovation. The task involves the purchase and integration of four specialized lines and devices.

Project target groups:

The project is aimed at several strategic groups of recipients, including commercial recipients, end users, and entities supporting the development of innovation in the Lubelskie region, i.e., residents of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, retail convenience networks and "on-the-go" stores, the fitness segment, the e-commerce market, institutions supporting innovation (universities, clusters, research institutes).

Project objectives:

The aim of the project implemented by HEMPLAB Ltd. is to implement into production and introduce to the market the innovative CAP-MIX supplementation system, which is the result of completed research and development works.

Project effects and results:

The effect of the project will be the introduction to the market of a new product – the CAP-MIX supplement, which enables the delivery of bioactive compounds in liquid form with high bioavailability, without loss of chemical and microbiological activity. The implementation of innovation will contribute to increasing the technological potential of the enterprise, diversifying the product offer, and strengthening HEMPLAB's competitive position on the functional food and dietary supplements market.

HEMPLAB LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY is implementing a project titled
„Development and implementation of innovative BerryBrains+ gummies enriched with polyphenol extracts obtained based on the new PolyPhenTech Extraction System (PPTE-S) extraction technology”.
For the implementation of this project, Hemplab company received a grant from the European Union under the European Funds for Lubelskie 2021-2027 Program.

Tasks carried out within the project:

The project implementation includes the following stages:

  • Industrial research: development of innovative PPTE-S polyphenol extraction technology and BerryBrains+ gummies formulation

  • Experimental development work: scaling the technology to a pilot level and verification of final product quality parameters

  • Pre-implementation work: applications for industrial property protection (patent, trademark, industrial and utility designs)

  • Implementation work: investments in fixed assets necessary to launch mass production of BB+ gummies

Project target groups:

The project and its results are aimed at a wide range of recipients, including:

  • residents of the Lubelskie region using new generation functional foods,

  • people with dietary restrictions, seniors, athletes and mentally active people,

  • research and scientific institutions supporting the development of extraction technologies and bioactive analyses,

  • enterprises, including SMEs, which can implement Hemplab innovations in their product lines.

Project objectives:

The aim of the project is to develop and implement innovative BerryBrains+ gummies, enriched with polyphenols obtained thanks to the novel extraction technology PPTE-S, which uses ultrasound and supercritical CO₂ extraction. The innovation allows obtaining extracts with a high content of stable bioactive compounds with minimal degradation. The final product will be a functional alternative to dietary supplements, characterized by high quality, safety of use, and an attractive form of consumption.

Project effects and results:

The main result will be the development and implementation of PPTE-S technology and an innovative product – BerryBrains+ gummies – containing a high concentration of stable polyphenols (min. 9 mg/3 g gummy).
The product will undergo qualitative and microbiological validation and will be covered by intellectual property protection. It is also planned to launch mass production and market expansion in Poland and abroad, with particular emphasis on the functional and health-promoting food sector.
